"How wonderful to have such encouraging and speedy feedback, rather than the usual black hole of silence!"

"What attracted me to the A Woman's Write competition was the possibility to have a critique. I wasn't disappointed. They offered wise words, good suggestions and valuable support..."

"Their succinct, to-the-point critique helped me refine my entry."

...From A Woman's Write entrants...

As an A Woman's Write Editor, I am always reminding those who contact us: WE ARE HUMANS! - WOMEN HELPING OTHER WOMEN! WE ARE NOT AN APP, SYSTEM, OR ROBOT. I am pleased and gratified with the responses we get, and happy for the chance to continue our work on behalf of creative women everywhere. I truly enjoy the work of reading, critiquing, occasionally editing, and often reviewing or writing cover blurbs for the books we receive in our International Novel Competition. The fact that they come from all over the world makes me proud. Often, too, I get extra incentive in the form of a few kind words from one of the women writers I've worked with, and that's the icing on the cake.

"What was most interesting to me was that I hadn't (and still haven't) met her in person, so everything she knew about my voice, my style and my story was what was on the page.  A clean and honest read like that is invaluable.  She picked up on nuances of the stories, the grammatic errors, the ambiguous sentences, and the places where a reader would want more.  I've used Barbara's services now for several novels and a book of short stories, and having her as a final editor has significantly improved my work."

"YOU WERE SPOT ON WITH SO MANY INSIGHTS."

"I FOUND YOUR COMMENTS HELPFUL, AND WHILE I DID NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF YOUR SUGGESTIONS, I APPRECIATED THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO SPOT POTENTIAL ISSUES."

"THANK YOU FOR GETTING BACK TO ME SO FAST AND WITH INSIGHTFUL SUGGESTIONS."

Dear Barbara, I must tell you this. As a pre-announcement of my book I pasted your blurb on the Facebook. The response really moved me. So many people gave wonderful comments, hardly waiting for the book to be out...without you, none of this would  happen."

Magdalena Cundric of Slovenia, who sent a novel to A Woman's Write composed in English,  her second language,  took advantage of my editing services, then got the book published.

Every time I read or discuss my novel The Jewel Box, I see so much of Barbara’s brilliant input, it makes me smile with thankfulness. Barbara has a knack for telling it exactly like it is while remaining a gracious, lovely person. I intend to continue working with her on all future book projects that run from my brain to my fingertips and finally across her editing desk. I can’t recommend her services strongly enough!
